Die Ausstellung in Berlin läuft noch bis 6. April und nun will ich die neuen Bilder zeigen. Mit diesen Arbeiten bin ich wieder zu einem meiner ursprünglichen Themen zurückgekommen: menschliche Zustände. Ich male vermehrt im Studio, benötige viel länger für die Bilder und habe durch die Fotografie eine gewisse motivische Freiheit gewonnen. Obwohl ich verstärkt in Facebook unterwegs bin, sehe ich es auch als sehr problematisch an, sich permanent den “gefällt mir” zu unterwerfen. Ich werde mal in einem anderen Post darüber schreiben.
Die neuen Bilder sind nach Fotografien enstanden und somit kann ich losgelöst von den Terminen mit den Modellen, in meinem Rhytmus arbeiten. Ich versuche mit meiner Pinselschrift lockerer zu sein und während des Malprozesses ein relativ schnelles Tempo zu behalten und mich nicht in Details zu verlieren.

The Berlin show is still on until the 6. April and now I am going to show some new paintings. In these paintings I returned to one of my initial subject matters: the human condition. I do more studio paintings, they take longer and the photo reference gives me more painterly freedom. Although I am more present in Facebook recently, I find it cosiderately difficult to deal with the sytem of “like”. But this will be the topic for another post.
The new paintings were done with the aid of photographs und I can therefore work in my own rhythm without being dependent of the models schedule. I try to keep the brushwork loose by not changing the tempo of painting and not getting lost in details.
